||Four Night- Alaska Wilderness Treehouse Adventure
As seen on "Treehouse Masters" with Pete Nelson in 2014
The trip starts with a Bush flight from Anchorage via float-plane to the wilderness of the Alaska Range, where we land on a ridgetop lake 2 miles from our destination. The plane returns to Anchorage and you will be guided through a rough and wild landscape to a place where there are no neighbors, no other cabins- just pristine wilderness. This hike necessitates a wade across a very large creek, and is only for the reasonably fit type of person. With a grand view of the mountains enjoy the silence of the comfortably rustic treehouse. I built and lived in it as I learned the land to decide where to build my cabin- now located nearby.
During your visit, there are many possible activities I can tailor to your desires. There is great hiking, typically good fishing, and frequent wildlife in the area. I will be available to guide you and suggest activities for your personal interest. This is an absolutely unique experience that very few have had the opportunity to take advantage of- I am not often available to offer this excursion.
The lake we have flown into is large enough to land in but too small to fly out from with any passengers, so on departure day we'll float by raft four miles to our take-out. There we cache the raft up in a tree (to be retrieved in winter by snowmobile) and hike an hour to a larger lake where our plane will pick us up for the return flight to Anchorage.
Price is based on two people, and covers Bush Flights to and from the isolated location, treehouse lodging, wholesome delicious meals, and personal guide.
